Geplaatst 26 januari 201213 jr. The Top 40 was known as "The International Prediction Hit 40" and Don Allen's show was "The Country and Western Jamboree". There was also a "British Top 20 Show" in the autumn of 1971 and, in March/April 1970 there was the "Nifty 50 Show". Others I can think of: UK service: In Concert Northsea at Night Lowering of Standards (this only had one episode with Alan West and Stevi Merike) Album Show NL service: Ochtendeditie Hou Maat Dinsdag Avond Toestand, Donderdag Avond Toestand etc.(Monday to Friday with Nico Steenbergen) Prioriteiten (Sunday with Karel Prior) I'll check my RNI diaries when I can and see if I can find any more. Geplaatst 26 januari 201213 jr. Citaat The Top 40 was known as "The International Prediction Hit 40" Michael, The International Prediction Top 40 was in 1972. In 1970 there was a Top 40: http://www.hitnoteringen.nl/rni_uk/northsea_top_40.htm Vincent
Geplaatst 27 januari 201213 jr. Vincent Sorry, I didn't explain myself very well - what I meant was that the 1972 Top 40 was known as the International Prediction Hit 40, rather than International Prediction Top 40. A few more that I have found, mainly from around Christmas/New Year 1973/74: On the UK Service: Music of the mind Phillybusters Jesus Christ Superstar Mixed Gill Quadrophenia Tommy - A Rock Opera Tribute to UNICEF Song for Europe Aftermath and from the Dutch Service; 65 Min There were also a lot of programmes that had the DJ's name, such as "The Alan West Show" - there were jingles using the start of Johnny Nash's "Falling in and out of love" that went "This is the Alan West Show", "This is the Crispian St John show" etc in 1971. I think there were similar jingles for all of the English DJs in the summer of 1971, certainly also Tony Allan, Stevi Merike, Dave Rogers and Mike Ross, so there were programmes that bore their names. I haven't checked through the diaries for 1971 or 1972 yet, so may be able to find some more. Regards Michael admin: toegevoegd
