I think that the two from Nigel Harris are most probably from 19901007.

In the first recording at 15m50s, Nigel says "back on the air, Saturday morning", so the file names are incorrect: it can't be 7th October 1990 because that was a Sunday. At 35m25 on the second recording, Nigel mentions stormy weather and says "celebrating the return of the great Radio Caroline".

 

Surely, the first three recordings (2 x Nigel Harris and 1 x Caroline Martin) are actually from Saturday 6th October 1990, the first full day of broadcasting for several months. This time on the new frequency (819 kHz).

 

The hourly ID announcement is "three decades of good music for Europe, this is Radio Caroline".

 

Incidentally the new frequency is NEVER mentioned in the whole 3 hours of recordings (this makes it obvious that no-one was happy about being forced to transmit on a different frequency from 558).

 

At 12m25 on the second recording, Nigel plays the Bill Mitchell promo "Returning to your radio sets, Caroline is back. Go tell a friend and stay tuned to this channel." This was certainly played on test broadcasts of 4th and 5th October. It's also almost identical wording to Bill Mitchell promos that Laser Hot Hits played on test transmissions in 1986 (maybe that's where they got them from?).

 

 

The last 4 recordings (1 x Caroline Martin and 3 x Dave Asher) are probably from Saturday 7th October 1989, so those file names seem correct.

 

There is also stormy weather. On the second Dave Asher recording, the turntable momentarily loses power 14 times.

Dat kwam om dat de Gates draaitafels een stop-start schakelaar hadden die bestond uit een glazen buisje met een kwikdruppel die het contact maakte. Al er storm was dan helde het schip onder een bepaalde hoek en stond dan de schakelaar van de Gates draaitafel in de start positie dan rolde die druppel terug in het buisje, door die hellingshoek, en stopte de draaitafel
