On Saturday August 10th 2002, there was a 35th Anniversary Offshore Reunion for sixties offshore personnel ('The Wet Club') to commemorate August 14th 1967. Mary and Chris Payne from the Radio London website along with some dedicated offshore radio friends had organised a phantastic event. See and hear Ronan himself explain about the station name. Radio Veronica was net weer gestart met radio en tv nadat ze uit de HMG groep waren gestart. Geen etherfrequentie voor de radio, dus aangewezen op de kabel. Een tv station waar meer geld uitvloog dan er kijkers kwamen... als je wilt weten wat er in die periode allemaal gebeurde bij het toenmalige Veronica kan ik absoluut het boek 'Herinnert u zich deze nog' van Arjan Snijders aanraden. Nog verkrijgbaar bij de webshop van RockArt voor 15 euro.

Prachtig ! Een waar document. En wat zijn sommige "gewoon" gebleven behalve Tommy Vance natuurlijk met z'n donkere bril. Erg leuk die toespraken vooral die van Keefers ( ik herken z'n naam maar en wel gehoord in die tijd, maar bij welke zender ook al weer ? Dat wordt effe Google'n) En onze altijd humor volle Ed Stewart.......... Ik heb 'em gedownload en ben er blij mee en heb het allemaal destijds allemaal "realtime" gehoord !
