Jan Akkerman – Crackers. In 1977 kwam, op het Atlantic label, de solo lp van Jan Akkerman met zijn naam als titel op de markt. Akkerman, vooral bekend als gitarist van de formatie Focus, had daarvoor al in bands gespeeld als Johnny and the Cellar Rockers, Hunters en Brainbox. Crackers werd gebruikt door Eric Mess op Radio Mi Amigo 272 in de zomer van 1979 en wel al uur vuller op naar de commercials en het tijdsein op het volle uur, in zijn programma Stuurboord. Akkerman, best known as guitarist of the formation Focus, had previously played in bands such as Johnny and the Cellar Rockers, Hunters and Brainbox.
