In 1974 kwam het funky instrumentale nummer ‘Pick up the pieces’ uit en werd nummer 1 in Amerika met meer dan 1 miljoen verkochte exemplaren. Pick up the pieces werd in de maand augustus van 1978 ingezet voor een promospot op Radio Caroline: ‘Wherever you’re going this Bank Holiday Weekend, be sure to take Caroline with you…..’ waarna een programma overzicht volgde.
